1. Can I Build vehicles in Laurel other than the ones shown on this page?

Availability is dependent on several factors. As vehicles are updated from one model year to another, there are times when orders are accepted and times when they are closed. If you do not see your preferred vehicle here, please contact Academy Ford to learn more about when a vehicle will be available to build.

2. How do I Build My Own Ford in Laurel?

Submit your request by clicking “Start Your Custom Order” and you will be taken to the Build Your Own interface to configure your Ford. Once you submit your order, a representative from Academy Ford will contact you to verify your desired vehicle, explore potential incoming Laurel stock and then arrange to start your build at Ford.

3. How long will it take to have my vehicle built?

Ford will make every effort to expedite your order. The amount of time it takes to build your vehicle will depend on the model and the options chosen.

4. Is there an extra cost for building a vehicle?

No. The final sale price is negotiated between the customer and Academy Ford, and there are no additional fees from Ford for your custom-built vehicle.

5. Is my Build Your Own vehicle eligible for Ford incentives?

Yes! Ordering customers will be eligible for qualifying incentives at the time the order is placed, or qualifying incentives at the time of final delivery, whichever you prefer.

6. If I would like to finance or lease a custom-built vehicle, can I do that?

Yes! Academy Ford would be happy to help explain your options and help you arrange financing. Our Laurel Finance Department can help get find the right auto loan or lease for you.

7. How can I track my custom-ordered Ford?

Once your vehicle has been assigned a VIN, you can track your order using this website: https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/

8. Where and when would I get my VIN to track my vehicle?

A representative from Academy Ford Laurel will be able to provide you with the VIN once it's been established.

9. How will I be notified when the vehicle is being delivered?

When your Build Your Own vehicle arrives at the dealership, Academy Ford will contact you to confirm, collect any additional information needed to complete the sale, and schedule a convenient time and location for final delivery to you. You’ll be driving away in no time with your new Ford car, truck, or SUV!

* Available on most custom-ordered, leased, financed, or purchased inventory from Academy Ford. Excludes diesel engine vehicles, vehicles 10 years and older, and vehicles with more than 100,000 miles. Maintenance must be performed at Academy Ford at the standard intervals indicated in the OEM owner’s manual. Restrictions apply, see dealer for complete details.
